WAIVER REQUIREMENTS
- If an athlete is an individual member of US Rowing and has
signed an electronic waiver, and it is on file and is reported as
such via RegattaCentral, then they do not need any additional
waivers.
- If an athlete is not covered by #1, then they should print out a
USRA
waiver and mail it to us, postmarked by the registration
deadline to insure that we receive it in time.
- Regardless of #1 or #2, if a rower is rowing for a club
that is a US Rowing club in good standing and
if the club has waivers on file for each rower, then this will be
reported to us by Regatta Central and no paper waivers are
required. (The club should have a signed copy of the US
Rowing waiver form on file for every member of their club to
protect themselves during normal operation, and this is what
Regatta Central will be using for their report).
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WAIVERS
- The simplest way is to submit your waiver with USRowing.
It will be acknowledged by Regatta Central, and it will be good
for a full year, not just for here at the TRR.
- Send your waivers to our mailing
address, postmarked by the registration deadline September
23rd to insure we receive them on time. If we don't receive
them on time, you'll have to fill them out all over again.
You don't want to do that.
- If you satisfy condition #3 of the Waiver Requirements above,
then your club and rowers should appear on a Regatta Central
waiver report and you need not send or bring waivers. We
won't know if you are qualified until we see the report on
Thursday before the regatta, so please don't write to us asking if
you are covered, we won't know.
- If you bring waivers to registration, this is acceptable.
But due to time constraints at the registration desk, we will ask
each coach to sign a legal cover sheet attesting that he or she is
providing us with a waiver for each rower. We simply won't
have time to check each waiver individually against your
roster. So get your waivers in order and you can leave the
lawyer at home.
